Look at this baby chick. It is only hours old.

One of our Silkie chicks decided she would go broody in the middle of the summer. She was sitting on 10 eggs and hatched them all. Looks like our number of chickens just increased by 10.

Farmer Jason really enjoys raising them and watching them grow. No one can raise them like a Hen. It is amazing the instincts these chicken have. They teach them to do everything and the babies do exactly what Mom does. I love to watch them in the evening wonder the goat farm and learn from Mommy hen.
