New Goat Owners Class

Service Description

We have been raising both milk and meat goats for 4 years in Mt. Pleasant, NC just outside of the Charlotte and Concord areas of NC. When we first started this journey I wish we had a mentor or class that we could take to have some of our “what if” questions answered. We will customize this 50 minute class to meet your needs and make sure all of your goat questions are answered. Here are some common questions new goat owners have: • How often should we worm our goats? • What do goats eat? Do they need supplements? • How do we trim a hoof? • What should I expect when my goat is pregnant? Do baby goats need heat? • Will a Doe be able to nurse triplets? • How soon can I milk my Doe? Do I have to milk my goat? • Do Bucks make good pets? Can a goat be “fixed”? What breed makes the best pet? • What kind of shelter do they need? We are happy to share all of our knowledge about goats with you. If you want to know something in particular just ask! This is for up to 2 people. Be sure to bring a list of questions with you.
